The former DCE and current MP for Amenfi East constituency, Hon Nicolas Amankwah popularly known as ‘Home Boy’ has disclosed that he knelt before the assembly members endorsed his nomination as DCE.
He made this revelation on Rivers fm when commenting on the endorsement of the current MCE, Mr Fredrick Korankye.
Hon. Nicholas Amankwah in a phone in interview told Assin Dansame Dehyee on Rivers Anopa Bosuo morning show that, the intense political divide within the municipality and also among the assembly members force him to kneel before confirming his nomination as DCE of Amenfi East.
“In Amenfi East, everything is politics. We are so political divide that it affects every activity within the municipal. I remember in 2016, I had to kneel to the point of even crying before the assembly members endorsed my nomination as DCE.
He further stated that, it’s about time we all put our political colours aside and come together to enhance peace and Development in the constituency.
“Development and technology is fast advancing, so should the development of Amenfi East. Peace and development in Amenfi East is paramount and that’s what should be our outmost priority. I think the time is up for us all to drop our political difference and concentrate on the things that are of important to the development of Amenfi East”.
