A rapper, Vic Mensa has stated that he is ‘free’ following his detention on narcotics charges in Dulles International Airport on January 15, 2022.
In a tweet dated January 19, the rapper stated that he was now free. He expressed gratitude to God for his “secret labor.”
“I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I love you all. “God works in mysterious ways.”
Upon his arrival in D.C. from Ghana, certain narcotic compounds were discovered in his language, according to a news release by the Customs and Border Protection office.
Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psychedelic mushrooms, both of which are prohibited in the United States, were found in his possession.
Following news of his detention in America on suspicion of possessing’mushrooms,’ several Ghanaians demanded his release, claiming that authorities lacked sufficient grounds to keep him.
Vic Mensa was charged with felony narcotics possession by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Washington, D.C., according to billboard.com.
“Police officers from the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA) responded and charged Mensah with felony drugs possession. Mensah and the illegal narcotics were taken into custody by MWAA police officers, according to the statement.
