“I won’t resign; my main mission is to qualify Ghana to the World Cup” – Milovan

Following Ghana’s poor performance at the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, coach Milovan Rajevac has denied demands that he should resign.

The Serbian coach claims he is on a mission to get Ghana qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Following Ghana’s devastating defeat to Comoros, Coach Milo told the press that he intended to stay and complete the primary goal for which he was appointed.

Rajevac added, “I aim to stay and lead Ghana in the March World Cup Qualifiers.”

“My ultimate goal is to qualify Ghana for the World Cup; AFCON qualification is a secondary one.” Ghana’s World Cup qualification in March is something I’m looking forward to.”

After losing to Morocco and drawing with Gabon in their first two games, the Black Stars were expected to win in order to qualify to the next stage with four points.

Comoros, a FIFA 132-ranked team, stunned Ghana with possibly their best performance ever, playing almost 65 minutes with 10 men after Andre Ayew was sent off.
