The Ghana Police Service claims to have put an end to the violence that occurred in Nima, Accra, on Tuesday.
In a Facebook post, the police agency claimed, “The Police firmly interfered in the Nima violence and brought the situation under control.”
“In the meantime, the suspected criminals are being hunted down and brought to justice.” The police stated, “Full details will be provided at a later date.”
A video posted to the Ghana Police Facebook page showed four males walking along a street in Nima with machetes in their hands.
The footage also includes gunshots, with one man appearing to shoot a weapon.
