Ghanaian singer, Fameye, shows his sadness by weeping with the victims of the Bogoso-Appiatse accident.
The singer who hails from Bogoso and was recently enstooled as Wasa Nyankonton (Rainbow Of Wasa) at Bogoso, was deeply wounded when he learned of what had occurred.
He reacted to the terrible news on his official and verified social media accounts. In his tweet, he expressed his profound condolences to the families of those who died in the Bogoso Explosion and prayed for those who were injured.
Fameye expressed his concern and vision for his people and followers in an interview with the TV3 NewDay team.
“I saw it last night,” Fameye said. A whole town is on the verge of collapsing. And Appiatse is an area in which I am well-versed. I’ve been in that situation before. It’s not quite in Bogoso, but it’s close by. Bogoso appears to be the administrative center for all of these towns. I was recently anointed Nana Wassa Nyankonton. What’s going on there makes me feel like I have a lot of duty on my shoulders. I’m in a state of bereavement. This is excessive. This is the first time something like this has happened. Everything in the community is down.” >
“Sometimes when you’re driving to Bogoso, you meet all these enormous trucks, and sometimes you have to park for like 30 minutes for these trucks to pass before you can proceed,” the rapper remarked. “Because they’re a tad too large.”
According to Fameye, he and his team would travel to the town to meet with elders in an attempt to restore order by providing whatever assistance they can.
“We will travel to the town and provide any assistance we can.” And sit down with the elders to straighten things out.”
