Black Stars Head coach, Milovan Rajevac sacked

Milovan Rajevac, the head coach of the Black Stars, has been fired by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The Serbian has been dismissed of his duties after overseeing Ghana’s poor performance in the 2017 AFCON in Cameroon.

Following a meeting between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association following Ghana’s group-stage exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations last week, the decision was made.

On Friday, January 21, 2022, the Sports Ministry summoned the GFA to a meeting, instructing the country’s football governing body to evaluate the coach’s status because Ghanaians “had lost faith in the technical team’s ability to produce success.”

The Ghana Football Association is anticipated to issue a statement soon announcing Milovan’s dismissal.
