Covid-19 vaccine scandal: Agyeman Manu should’ve been fired long ago – A Plus

Social commentator Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, has expressed concern about the Health Minister’s continued tenure in office.

Mr. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, the Health Minister, he believes, should have been fired from the government long ago for ruining the country’s reputation with the COVID-19 vaccinations agreement.

A Plus feels that the President may be overwhelmed by the misbehavior of the individuals he has placed in place to run the country’s affairs, resulting in his administration’s sloppiness.

When the social analyst made the announcement, he was speaking on Accra-based TV3.

“The health minister had to be terminated a long time ago,” he remarked when explaining why the Health Minister should have been fired. I’m not sure why… That’s why I’m giving Nana Addo a 20% score; I wanted to cut it in half and give him 15% because I’m not sure why the Nana Addo I know won’t fire the health minister.”

It’s worth recalling that in 2021, Health Minister Dr Kwaku Agyeman Manu faced criticism for procuring vaccines from an Arabian Sheik.

The Minister was accused of signing an overpriced vaccination contract, but he stated that the need to fight the disease forced him to make such a move without going through Parliament.

There have been calls for the Health Minister to be fired, but they have fallen on deaf ears, since the Minister remains in position.

A Plus highlighted that the Agriculture Minister’s performance has been terribly inadequate, and that if he is included in the government evaluation, the President’s percentage will be reduced to ten percent.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has a lot of potential, but A Plus isn’t sure what’s going on with him, saying, “Nana Addo is a smart intelligent person, but I think he’s overwhelmed, he didn’t believe that his own that he’ll send to stop the galamsey will go and steal the gold and sell the excavators.”
