The debate over the E-levy has revealed that the majority of NDC MPs are better at boxing and cutting others with sharp instruments like razors than exchanging thoughts, according to the MP for Nhyiaeso Constituency.

Hon. Stephen Amoah stated that the subject of E-Levy has turned Parliament into a battleground, but that the majority in the house will remain steadfast and committed in passing the law.

On Wontumi TV, he chastised the minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, for leading the NDC group in parliament to cause a quarrel whenever the levy was discussed.

“The NDC despises Ghana. If they claim that passing the bill will cause Ghanaians to vote against the NPP, they should go ahead and do so. Parliament is not a boxing match; if they want to murder us, they should do so. It is wonderful if they kill us because of Ghanaians. We’d be firm and resolute in passing the bill. They make the parliament look like a battleground. What do you get by beating up on your colleagues and cutting them with a blade?” “Exchange of ideas isn’t boxing; what do you gain by beating up on your colleagues  and cutting them with a blade?”
