Ghanaians react angrily to E-LEVY video ad shared by Nana Addo

After President Akufo-Addo uploaded an ad on social media, Ghanaians expressed their displeasure with the passing of the Electronic Levy Tax, also known as the E-Levy.

The president posted the commercial, in which he urged Ghanaians to support the government’s plan to implement the E-LEVY.

According to the video’s content, a man was unable to find work after graduating from university owing to a lack of chances.

The movie attempted to explain the benefits that Ghanaians will receive if the E-LEVY is implemented; employment will be created, and chances will be available to everybody.

The part of the film where the individual has a PS5 and a MacBook, however, enraged Ghanaians even more.

Many people couldn’t comprehend why someone having a MacBook and PS5 wouldn’t sell them and start a business with them. Or, if the person was genuinely broke and unemployed, where did he acquire the money to buy such things?

Following the release of the film, Ghanaians bombarded the president with questions. Many people believed that the E-LEVY was a bad tax and should not be passed.

The ad shared by president Akufo-Addo did more harm than the intended good effect it was supposed to have on Ghanaians.
