Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho, is startled that someone he considers a friend might be in league with others to defame him.
Mr Anyidoho can’t get his mind around his “bosom friend Bobie Ansah,” mirroring comments from a certain gentleman who goes by the handle “JM ba” on social media.
According to reports, the gentlemen accused Mr Anyidoho of assassinating former president Prof Evans Atta Mills.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute said on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia program that his own friend grabbed the stated audio from the author’s Facebook post and used it repeatedly on his show without cross-checking.
As a result, Koku stated that he has petitioned the police to investigate that case as well as other charges concerning former President John Dramani Mahama.
“It astounds me that Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah would seek to stab me in the back. I’ve helped a few people. Though I cannot argue that he owes his career to me, I have contributed greatly to who he is now.
“These accusations are false, and I expect Bobie Ansah, my own, to know better.
“However, I have petitioned the Ghana Police Service to have him investigated for some outrageous and defamatory charges made in a Facebook video that he also posted.”
“On July 24, 2012, I was widely accused of having a hand in the death of late President John Atta Mills.”
“I’m also accused of travelling to shrines with photos of former President John Dramani Mahama with the express intention of killing him using dirty means.”
Mr. Anyidoho continued, “I also take this occasion to urge an official inquest into the death of the late President Atta Mills in order to cleanse my name and save my reputation.”
