Alhaji Baba, the Nations Builders Corps (NABCO) Greater Accra Regional Coordinator, has informed trainees that their locked-up stipends will be paid.
He stated that the process of paying them had begun.
NABCO employees took to the streets of Accra to protest the government’s failure to pay their stipends.
They are owed four months’ worth of income, but the government has failed to pay them, prompting the protest.
“We will not victimize anybody,” Alhaii Baba told journalists after receiving their petition. “We are colleagues, so it is in their best interest.”
While we work to streamline the system, those who are currently employed will be removed from it. Payment will then begin in earnest, and they will be paid. We’ve only just begun the head count, and it’s still going on.”“
