Sarah Adwoa Safo deletes TikTok account after NPP backlash

Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome/Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater Accra Region and Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, has deactivated her TikTok account with the username (@sarahadwoasafo) following reaction from Kennedy Agyapong while she was out of Parliament.

In an interview with GTV Breakfast on February 21, 2022, Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong revealed some allegations about the Dome/Kwabenya MP, claiming that “she has failed in life for asking to be made Deputy Majority Leader before she enters to Parliament.”

“Her absence from Parliament for more than 15 days could result in her seat being declared empty,” he continued, “while she continues to dance on TikTok.”

TikTok is a video-focused social networking service that contains a variety of short-form user videos, ranging in length from 15 seconds to three minutes, from categories such as pranks, stunts, tricks, jokes, dancing, and entertainment.

This app has been a hot topic over the past 24 hours after Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, accused Sarah Adwoa Safo, the MP for Dome/Kwabenya, of sabotaging the ruling New Patriotic Party by not appearing in Parliament and so preventing the E-Levy Bill from being passed.

The TikTok account of Sarah Adwoa Safo, which had over 13,000 followers, is currently inaccessible.
