I’ll only come to parliament if Deputy Majority Leader is given to me – Adwoa Safo reportedly demands

Kennedy Agyapong has highlighted the conditions that must be completed in order for Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo to return to parliament and participate in government business.

According to him, she has asked President Akufo-Addo to remove Effuttu MP Afenyo Markins as Deputy Majority Leader and transfer the office to her, among other requests, because she held the position during President Akufo-first Addo’s term.

Kennedy Agyapong, speaking on Asaase Radio a day after going off on the young lawyer, claimed that Adwoa Safo had turned into a thorn in the governing party’s flesh, bent on undermining the party’s efforts.

He reported that Adwoa Safo had requested that Afenyo Markins be replaced as Deputy Majority Leader and that she be appointed to the role. She further stated that she would ensure that the E-LEVY was not enacted, forcing the government to seek financial assistance from the IMF.

“Adwoa Safo has made various requests, including that Afenyo Markins be removed as Deputy Majority Leader and the job be transferred to her. “She has also stated that if her requests are not addressed, she will not vote for the E-LEVY,” Kennedy Agyapong added.

“As a result of Adwoa Safo’s acts, we are still in opposition.” “We are still in opposition despite our power because of her attitude,” the Assin Central MP screamed.
