The Local Government Service has withdrew some twenty-seven (27) senior and subordinate officers who were recently recruited and posted to the various Regional Coordinating Councils.
An anomaly is said to be the cause of their departure. As a result, the recruits should report to the Head Office to have their credentials and other documentation verified.
“…the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) has identified an irregularity in the appointment letters of the attached list of officers who were recently recruited and posted to the various Regional Coordinating Councils,” according to the letter (RCCs).
In this regard, all Regional Coordinating Councils are to withdraw these officers’ postings to the districts and instruct them to report to the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service with their original appointment letters and academic certificates by Wednesday, March 2, 2022, so that the necessary corrections can be made.
Recruits who do not follow the instructions risk losing their job and being sent back to the unemployment line.
The statement stated, “…failure to reach the deadline will declare their appointment null and void…”
