Otto Addo, the Black Stars’ head coach, has defended defender Mohammed Salisu, who has routinely turned down invites to play for the Black Stars.
Mohammed Salisu has faced a lot of criticism for refusing to represent Ghana and claiming that he is unfit for the team.
Otto Addo claims that he spoke with Salisu Mohammed and that the player’s reasons for not coming are legitimate, and that only outsiders will be able to comprehend him.
“I met Mohammed Salisu when I went to Southampton, I believe two months ago; we had really nice talks, and it will take longer for you to understand the matter.” But it’s simple for you to say he doesn’t want to come because you’re an outsider, but there are many reasons.” he stated
Mohammed Salisu will play for Ghana when he is ready, according to Dortmund’s trainer.
“I understand his reasoning, and I appreciate his taking the time to explain things to me, and I hope the time will come for him to play. He wants to play, but maybe not right now,” he continued.
