Parliament to adjourn Sine Die on April 5

On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Parliament is expected to take a vacation.

While reading the business statement for next week, Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin asked Members of Parliament to devote themselves to continuing their dedication to the House’s business till adjournment.

“Mr. Speaker, the House is expected to adjourn Sine Die on Tuesday, April 5, 2022,” Mr Afenyo-Markin remarked on the House floor. In this regard, the Business Committee urges all members of the House to continue to devote themselves to the scheduled business for the week in question in order for the House to adjourn on the suggested Tuesday, April 5th, 2022.

“The Business Committee wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to you, your deputies, and all Hon. Members for their self-sacrifice and dedication to the House’s business during this First Meeting. The Business Committee strongly encourages all Hon. Members to keep this commitment until the House adjourns sine die. The Business Committee wishes all Hon. Members a restful Easter break, and hopes that we will all return in good health for the Second Meeting’s business.”

Meanwhile, Members of Parliament are expected to meet on Monday, April 4, 2022, to conclude the business scheduled for the week in question before going on vacation.
