Elon Musk declined decision to join Twitter’s board

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has indicated that he will not be joining Twitter’s board of directors.

As most of you are aware, Elon Musk, 50, joined the Twitter family after being announced as the company’s largest shareholder, having purchased a 9.2 percent stake.

Musk pledged not to acquire more than 14.9 percent of the firm’s shares while on the board, and he also agreed not to buy off or take over the company as part of the deal for him to join the board.

Elon Musk’s decision not to join the board of directors came as a surprise to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, who revealed the news in a tweet on Sunday night. Elon had previously stated that he couldn’t wait to join the board.

He was supposed to join the Twitter board of directors on Saturday, April 9, 2022, according to Parag Agrawal, but he changed his mind, which Parag believes is “for the best.”

The actual reason behind Musk’s decision has yet to be revealed.

Even if Elon Musk has elected not to join the company’s board of directors, the board has and will always respect his opinion because he is their largest shareholder, and they will stay open to his proposals, according to Parag’s post.

Aside from that, there is yet to be an official response from him as to what he thinks of the decision.
