The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has been commended by Ghanaians for apprehending a Lebanese man who threatened to behead a Ghanaian.
When the heinous video went viral yesterday, many Ghanaians were horrified and disturbed by the Lebanese man’s impunity.
The Lebanese was fiercely waiting outside a businessman’s shop in the video as he demanded that the Ghanaian trader come out and chop off his head.
Even when people warned him to stop, he felt even more powerful as he continued to instill fear and panic in the public.
Many individuals immediately expressed their displeasure with the way foreigners treat Ghanaians in their own nation.
As a result, after seeing the viral video, the Ghana Police Service acted immediately to prevent the awful threat.
The Lebanese man is currently being held in police custody after being transported to face the full wrath of Ghanaian law.
Netizens reacted positively to the news and requested that the police do more of the same.
See below how they reacted.
The police stated that the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has reached out to the victim of the event as part of the announcement of his arrest.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Ghanaians have been treated unfairly by outsiders.
Fortunately, this could be a sign that it will pass quickly.
